100 Amp Alternator Upgrade:

1) Charge your battery before you install otherwise you will shorten the life of your new alternator

This is a copy of the CS-130

On some units it may be necessary to rotate the front housing to position the mounting holes in the right place. In addition most parts houses do not stock them with the correct pulley. Our alternators are ready to go , have the correct pulley and include the plug.

If you must rotate the front housing take care to lift the front of the housing only enough to rotate it. This will insure there is no internal damage.

Wiring:

You will only need to do some simple wiring.
1.) Remove the Lucas plug
2.) Using eyelets (not provided) attach Large and Small Solid Brown wires from the starter along with the Large Red wire (S) on the new plug, to the battery post on the alternator.
3.) Connect the Small Brown (L) on the new plug to the Brown with yellow (sometimes white) tracer from the wire harness (this is the alternator light on the dash). You can solder, use butt connectors, spade or bullet connectors for this.
4.) The remaining Small Brown wire (F) and Small Gray wire (P) on the new plug can be cut off.

Important Note!

There must be a working alternator warning light in the circuit. No light! No Charging!

 That's it!    Updated 04/19/09
