Disassembly
1. Pull the fan hub from the pump spindle.
2. Withdraw the bearing locating wire through the hole in the pump body.
3. Tap out the spindle and bearing assembly rearwards.
4. Pull the impeller from the spindle.
5. Remove the seal from the spindle.
6. Omit – because you are replacing the bearing.
7. Omit – because you are replacing the seal
Assembly
8. Reverse sequence 1-5 (noting seq 9-12)
9. Check fit of hub on the spindle. Renew if necessary.
10. Check that the face of the hub is flush with the end of the spindle.
11. Check that the bearing to thrower clearance is .042 to .062 in.
12. Check that the clearance between the impeller vanes and the body of the pump is .020 to .030 in.
